Franchia serves a wide selection of premium loose leaf
teas and other herbal and fruit 'tea' beverages. All of our teas are
carefully selected from tea plantations where the terrain and temperature
conditions are the most optimal for producing the highest quality teas.
Our teas are elegantly presented in specially crafted white ceramic tea
cups and pots so that the color, taste and aroma of the teas can be fully
appreciated.
Our featured tea is our exclusive Korean Wild Green Tea from the rocky
slopes of Mt.
Jilee. This tea is
unique in that it is 100% natural. Uncultivated and allowed to grow in
the wild, these tea leaves are left untouched until they are picked and
processed by hand. As a result of the completely natural production
process, this wild green tea has a subtle and smooth taste and stronger chi
or energy. Depending on the time it is picked, the wild green tea is
presented in its first, second, and third pickings. Other green teas as
well as oolong and black teas are available from the tea menu.
Meals at Franchia are a truly unique dining experience. Franchia's
kitchen is strongly committed to creating dishes that are not only tasty
but healthy and nutritious. All the dishes are strictly vegetarian,
reflecting our belief that vegetarianism is the healthiest way of eating.
The style of cooking is a fusion blend of Korean and Asian influences and
Western cuisine. Most of the dishes are light and are unique creations
intended to complement the tea menu. The dessert menu is especially
appealing, offering a unique selection of Korean pastries and cookies.
Franchia serves lunch from 11.30 am to 3 pm, afternoon tea from 3 pm to 5
pm and dinner from 5 pm to 10.30 pm. In addition, tea beverages and
several dishes from the menu may be purchased to go.
